LS-120 Diskette

Answers Banner

Q: Will the new LS-120 diskette and drive be available for the Apple Macintosh platform?

Current LS-120 drives are not compatible with the Apple Macintosh computers which require a SCSI interface. The drive has an ATAPI/IDE interface which is not present on many Apple computers.

We are talking with other companies about modifying LS-120 drives to be compatible with the Apple/Macintosh platform. We realize that applications on the Apple MacintoshÖ platform often include files that exceed the 1.40MB capacity barrier, and we believe the LS-120 product could provide an easy to use solution for many MAC users.

We do appreciate your interest, and we will make a more definitive statement when we can. The Macintosh market is important to us and we plan to address it in the near future.

More information on LS-120 is available on the LS-120 page of our site.
